Termite management is essential
In the past, solvent based termiticides were used which were very smelly, very volatile and also very bad for the environment.
These agents were very good at stopping termites and would last for twenty to thirty years.
The use of this type of chemical was stopped in the late eighties. Over time these chemicals have broken down and have long passed their expiry date.
Most modern houses in Perth have been built with a perimeter treatment which will only last three years and an under slab treatment which will last for ten.
