Spider treatment

An external spider treatment includes a full application to all your exterior surfaces. This includes walls, around window and door frames, under the eaves, up and around downpipes and wall penetrations, fences and under the capping, sheds, letterboxes, rubbish bins, outside furniture, and garden toys.

I use professional spray equipment on the back of my truck and can cover all surfaces effectively. I have over 75 meters of hose so I can get to the back fence of most properties. The high pressure of the nova pump means I can also reach under the eaves of two-story houses.

This comprehensive treatment takes the best part of two hours to complete for most properties. It is certainly not a spot treatment that many pest operators provide. The spray application I use is one of the best spider sprays in Australia, is water-based, does not stain or smell, is UV stable, and is safe for children and pets. Once applied and dry the treatment will last for around a year in most cases.

I can also use a dry powder in your roof space for spider control. This will stop any spiders that land on your roof from making a home. It will also help prevent spiders from dropping down into your living and bedrooms via light fittings, air conditioning ducting, and air vents.

Our spider pest control prices in Perth start from just $195 to $295 + GST depending on the size of your house and yard.

Spiders travel on the wind

When baby spiderlings hatch out they make silk parachutes and travel with the wind until they land on yours. Some homes are more likely to have spider issues than others. Those homes exposed to the prevailing wind, out in the open, or on higher ground tend to have more spiders than those less exposed.

Redback spider:

are everywhere in Perth. They are very adaptable and can live almost anywhere. They like to nest low down with very sticky webs often with bits of leaf litter mixed in. You can often find them at the base of walls, around tap fittings, and under outside furniture and garden toys. They are usually not that aggressive but they do have a powerful venom. If bitten you should seek medical help.

The black/brown house spiders:

are found in every house in Perth. They like to make a home in the gaps in your window frames, in the eaves, under the garden fence capping, in the shed, in nooks and crannies in the yard, and in rubbish piles. They have a characteristic web with an obvious entrance. They are more aggressive than the redback spider and carry a nasty bite. Mild to severe reactions have been reported

The white-tailed spiders:

are found in similar places to the black house spider. They hunt and eat black house spiders. White-tailed spiders have a bad reputation but are mostly harmless. They can leave a painful sore after a bite. They have been known to drop down from ceilings via light fittings and air conditioning vents.
