Your Complete Annual Termite Inspection includes:
A comprehensive report with photographs covering:
- Roof timbers, kitchen, bathroom cupboards, skirting areas, door & window frames, timber doorsteps, window sills, and floorboards
- Subfloor areas (if present & accessible).
- Exterior areas and immediate surrounds up to 30 m away (does not include neighbour’s property), mature trees, stumps, timber fences, posts & landscaping timbers.
- Garages, sheds, and other structures.
I check all high-risk areas, old activity & suspicious areas with the Termatrac termite detection radar device.
I also report on other timber pests such as borers & wood decay (fungal rot).
We also check on the extent of any chemical delignification if present in roof timbers.
Any old termite activity is photographed and commented on and signs of old treatments if found. We also point out and photograph any conducive and high-risk areas that we find.
Areas of high moisture content are highly conducive to termite activity. For this reason bathroom & laundry walls, around taps & showers, and under sinks are checked for high moisture content using a Tremex moisture meter or the Termatrac advanced moisture sensor.
We give advice on termite control and management in all our annual termite inspection reports.
Finally, any areas that we are unable to gain access to are mentioned in the report.
